QUILLING HEART – BIGGEST THANKS TO ALL HUMANITARIAN HEROS
On World Humanitarian Day (WHD) August 19, the world commemorates humanitarian workers who sacrificed to help others , and United Nation (UN) honour all aid and health workers who continue, despite the odds, to provide life-saving support and protection to people most in need.
This day was designated in memory of the 19 August 2003 bomb attack on the Canal Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq, killing 22 people, including the chief humanitarian in Iraq, Sergio Vieira de Mello. In 2009, the United Nations General Assembly formalized the day as World Humanitarian Day.
2020, a special year, long covered by troubles, disasters and pandemics. But somewhere in the world’s darkest place, stories about the strength of spirit and human heart are inspiring us to believe in the beauty of the good life. Aid workers are overcoming unprecedented access hurdles to assist people in humanitarian crises in 54 countries, as well as in a further nine countries which have been catapulted into humanitarian need by the COVID-19 pandemic. On the occasion of World’s 2020, Viet Net would like to send our sincere thanks to the who fight tirelessly to protect the humanities and the safety of everyone.
Quilling Arts’ designer team have worked together and create an quilling heart with yellow start inside to demonstrate our gratitude to all humanitarian around the world, especially doctor, nurses and soldiers in Vietnam who have been fighting continuously. In the middle of chaos, they have sacrifice their time, family and safety to protect people from Covid-19.
